REU: Virginia Institute of Marine Science

The selected REU students are matched with faculty mentors for a research experience in many areas of marine science. Interns are expected to work with their mentors to develop a project idea in the form of a brief research prospectus, conduct their research, and then present results in a final program that is open to the VIMS community. The REU intern also prepares a summary research paper that is maintained in the program archives. Open to undergraduate students attending college; rising junior and seniors are preferred.
