The At-Sea Internship program coordinates the placement of motivated community college and university students (or recent graduates) in at-sea marine technician internships across the country and around the world. Open to currenting undergraduate students or very recently graduate from an undergraduate program from a US institution and a citizen of the United States or its possessions.

Aylesworth Scholarship
Aylesworths believed that scientific knowledge in marine-related areas coupled with decisions based on environmental and conservation factors will prove to be the only way to develop, use and manage our renewable marine resources on a long-term basis. Aylesworth Scholarships are available to students in all Florida universities that conduct research in the marine sciences. The award is for graduate and undergraduate students who are enrolled full-time at a university or college in Florida.

Women in Science Scholarship
The Women in Science Scholarship supports women in the atmospheric, oceanic, and climate sciences, and related areas of study. The scholarship was established to acknowledge that gender diversity is essential in the pursuit of better science. Applicants must be entering their final year of undergraduate study in the fall, be pursuing a degree in the atmospheric or related sciences, and have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0-point scale.

Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship
A unique educational and professional experience to graduate students who have an interest in ocean, coastal and Great Lakes resources and in the national policy decisions affecting those resources. The Fellowship matches highly qualified graduate students with “hosts” in the legislative and executive branch of government located in the Washington, D.C. area, for a one year paid fellowship. Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution of higher education in the U.S. or U.S. territories and must have an interest in ocean, coastal and Great Lakes resources and in the national policy decisions affecting those resources.

Marine Education Fellowship
Train/work for 50 weeks to gain experience in environmental education, aquarium husbandry and coastal extension. There are three distinct tracks that focus on marine education and outreach, aquarium education and husbandry, and coastal extension. Each track includes teaching, program development and delivery, and additional but varying responsibilities. Recent college graduates with a B.S. or B.A. in coastal related discipline from an accredited college or university are eligible. Other qualifications include prior experience teaching or working with children/students, physical ability to teach outdoors in hot summers/cold winters and fluency in english.

As a Cooperative Institute for Climate, Ocean, and Ecosystem Sciences Research inter, students work closely with a mentor, often within the context of a research team, to conduct a research project related to their specific interests. Depending on the project, the summer interns may involve hands-on experience in the field or laboratory, or both. Open to current undergraduate student who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Participants must be returning to an undergraduate program after their summer with CICOES.
